So what I would like is people to post comments here about how they think this whole year off thing is going? Are you having one as well? Why? What do you want to do when you get into career work proper? Have you got any ideas for me that I don't mention? I want to hear from you...

Huw, it's good to see that you've got a blog. I always thought that your thoughts should be searchable. I just thought that I'd post to say - although you know it already - that I'm doing something of a year off too. I can't really tell you how it's going yet because I haven't properly finished university, but when I will I'll be sure to come back and say hello again. In the meantime, I'm trying to rationalise my beliefs like I always said I wanted to. You were always good at testing my assumptions in a polite way, so if you'd like to help me this time round too, I'd be more than grateful.
